There's something particularly rewarding about working with a home that has already been beautifully designed.
Set within a beautifully designed new development by Wold Top Developments and now available through Hunters Bridlington, this collection of contemporary family homes provided the perfect canvas for thoughtful styling. Flo & Co Interiors was commissioned to furnish and style one of the properties, complementing not only the quality of the build but also the lifestyle these beautifully designed homes can offer. With elegant shaker-style cabinetry, herringbone flooring, natural oak joinery and generous open-plan living spaces, the design already had a strong architectural foundation. Our role was to complement those features with carefully considered furniture, artwork and accessories, helping a beautifully built house feel like home.
Rather than introducing bold colours or statement pieces, we chose a softer approach. A palette of warm neutrals, muted sage greens and natural textures complemented the developer's specification, allowing the quality of the finish to remain the focus while creating spaces that felt calm, welcoming and lived in.
The open-plan kitchen, dining and living space was designed to demonstrate how each area could be enjoyed independently while still feeling beautifully connected. Carefully scaled furniture defined each area without interrupting the natural flow, helping buyers immediately understand how the space could work for everyday family life as well as entertaining.
Throughout the bedrooms, layered linens, subtle artwork and considered accessories created restful spaces that felt both aspirational and achievable. The styling was intentionally understated, allowing viewers to imagine adding their own personality rather than feeling they were walking through a showpiece.
One of the greatest advantages of home staging is its ability to remove uncertainty. Buyers don't have to imagine where furniture might go or whether a room is large enough. Instead, they can focus on how the property makes them feel.
For developers, that emotional connection can be invaluable. It encourages longer viewings, stronger engagement and the styling removes uncertainty, allowing viewers to appreciate the proportions, understand the layout and experience the home as it was intended.
